Week 7 relection

I have finished my static image and I am really pleased with:  My picture that I drew because it is neat and effective.

Something I have done for someone else:  I have cleaned a kids tote tray because it was really messy and that is what we do for our business.

I have worked really hard on:  My static image to get it finished before the end of the week.

Next week my goal is to:  Tidy more tote trays.

I have finished 7 out of 8 books on my pizza wheel.

Balloon car

My class made balloon cars a few weeks back and we raced them.  Balloon cars are balloons powered by a balloon.  My team won.  We also so needed to make a popplet about so click Here to see my popplet.

What does being a New Zealander mean to me.

1. Why does a country need to ‘sell itself’ abroad?  We want to promote and sell ourself so people come here and the other countries buy our products from us.

2. Can someone feel part of more than one country? How? Yes because they could be half Kiwi and half Dutch

3. Answer the final question in the article: what does being a New Zealander mean to you?  I like New Zealand because we are a free country because we can have haircuts that we want unlike some countries.  I also like how we have lots of trees and nature instead of just buildings..

I am a Harley Davidson driving in style.

I am one of the twin towers towering over all the other buildings.

Memoir story

I believe I can drive.


I slowly took my foot of the clutch and pushed down on the accelerator.  Then I put the car into first gear...

It was the weekends and I was about to drive our old car that sits on our hill on the front of our property.  My dad has has had it for ages but we have barely used it and now here I was going to drive it.

...The car slowly moved forward and then it went faster and faster until I was going 20 kilometers per hour.  The other side of the paddock was coming up fast so I started to turn but then...     the engine crackled and the car rolled to a stop.

"Dam it"

I had stalled the car.  But I wasn't going to give up so I turned the car on and pushed my foot onto the clutch then slowly I took my foot of and pushed down on the accelerator at the same time.  The car moved forward.  Faster and faster it went and then before I new it I was at the other side of the paddock.  I pushed down on the brack and turned the corner.  Yes I had made it.

So that was how I spent the rest of the afternoon.  Just driving the car back and forward and back and forward until my I got called for dinner.
